Helping set a firm foundation for child policy-making, this week Voices for Georgia’s Children presented The Whole Child Primer to lawmakers.  Voices partnered with an expert team of child advocates to provide insight at a joint hearing of the House Juvenile Justice, Education, and Health and Human Services Committees. The presentation focused on where Georgia stands, what we are doing well and what we need to do to make things better for kids.

Additionally, Voices, led by Executive Director Dr. Erica Fener Sitkoff, along with Polly McKinney, and Melissa Haberlen, presented The Primer to the Democratic Caucus.

Both chambers were provided copies of The Whole Child Primer and All About Kids: Factsheets about Georgia’s Children to use as resources to inform their policy discussions this session.

If you were unable to join us in person for the presentation to the House Juvenile Justice Committee, you can watch that presentation here.
