About GB5
The Georgia Birth to Five Coalition (GB5) is a statewide advocacy group composed of organizations and individuals who work together to improve public policies that impact early childhood development, education and care – or policies that affect children from birth to age five.
The coalition educates the public on the importance of investing in children, and builds public will to support the enactment and implementation of policies and initiatives that benefit all of Georgia’s children. In doing so, GB5 highlights the critical nature of children’s earliest years; supports the central role of parents in children’s healthy development; promotes high quality environments and services; and engages businesses, government and the nonprofit, faith and civic sectors to take leadership on behalf of young children and their families.
