Voices Honors GBI at 2017 Legislative Reception

On February 7, Voices for Georgia’s Children came together with 26 partner organizations and honored the work of Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Held at the historic Georgia Railroad Freight Depot near Underground Atlanta, the reception featured remarks from the director of the GBI, Vernon Keenan and drew a crowd of people from a diverse cross-section of groups, including child advocates, legislators and agency heads.

Both Chief Judge Tain Kell and Director Kennan highlighted the importance of the work of the GBI in protecting Georgia’s children.

Voices Board of Directors Member Randall Kirsch expressed his gratitude to have state leaders who know the importance of caring for Georgia’s most vulnerable children.
Voices Executive Director Emily Pelton closed out the program, thanking Director Kennan, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation staff for their attendance and continued commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of Georgia’s Children.
As always, we are grateful for all those who attended the reception, for all you continue to do for children, and for the support of our partners.
